Nagaland

Nagaland was given a state status of the Indian Union in 1961 (formal inaugurated on 1st Dec 1963). This is one the hill state of  eastern India and it has an international border with Myanmar on the east. Its population is 1,988,636 and area is 16,579 sq km. Nagaland has one parliamentary seat in the Lok Sabha. Principal languages of the state are Sangtam, Sema and Chakhesang. 

Capital:  Kohima
