Jammu and Kashmir is a strategically precious place owing to its borders with Pakistan and China. Geographically and culturally, the state has three district regions - Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh. Population of the state is 10,069,987. Territorial area of the state is 2,22,236 sq km. There are many principal languages of the state which includes Hindi, Urdu, Dogri, Kashmiri etc. It has six parliamentary constituencies.
