Opinion Poll by IT-ORG

20th Jan 2012: India Today-ORG (IT and ORG) published the results of the opinion poll conducted during the first half of the January and suggest that the Congress (main opposition party in Punjab) seems to be leading the race to form the next government in Punjab with its state chief Amarinder Singh emerging as the most popular chief ministerial candidate.

According to IT-ORG opinion poll ffindings, the Congress would take its tally in the next assembly to 69, a jump of 25 seats at the cost of ruling Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD)-Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) alliance's loss of 27 seats. The ruling alliance has been given 40 seats.
