Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS)
Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) is a regional political party in the southern Indian state of the Andhra Prades. TRS was founded in 2001 with an ideology to have a separate Telangana state. In Andhra Pradesh state assembly elections, TRS had an alliance with INC and won 26 assembly seats. It also has 5 members elected to the 14th Lok Sabha.
This time (General Elections 2009), it contested from 9 seats and managed to win 2 seats only. A loss of three seats from previous election tally.
