Indian National Lok Dal

Indian National Lok Dal, INLD, is a major political party of the state of Haryana. Party was founded by late Ch. Devi Lal (known as Tau) and name INLD was adopted in late nineties. Its current president Mr. Om Prakash Chautala has been the chief minister of Haryana for five times.

In the last general elections in 2004, party contested the elections at its own and could not win a single seat. Later in 2005 state assembly elections, it lost power by loosing comprehensively to congress.

In the 2009 General Elections, INLD could not perfrom well and failed to win any seat from Haryana, where it has a strong base.
