3rd Oct., 2012> Election Commisssion today annouced the schedule for the Gujarat state assembly elections 2012. The terms of the current Legislative Assemblies of Gujarat will expire on 17.01.2013. Polling for Gujarat state assembly will take place in two phases and will take place on December 13 and December 17, 2012. Gujarat has a total of 37815306 Electors as per the final electoral role publication. Gujarat will have 44496 polling stations in this election.

The counting of votes for both Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh elections will take place on December 20, 2012.

The total number of Assembly Constituencies in the States of Gujarat, the seats reserved for the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes, as determined by the Delimitation of Parliamentary and Assembly Constituencies Order, 2008, are given below:
